Volunteer Opportunity Search

Thank you so very much for your interest in learning more about the Carlsbad Community Emergency Response Team. CERT volunteers provide emergency preparedness and response assistance to their neighbors. To prepare for this responsibility, those chosen for CERT are given 24 hours of training in fire safety, light search and rescue and more by professionals in the field.

 

The next training session has not been scheduled. By signing up on this website, you have ensured that you will be informed about the next orientation and training. This training is open to Carlsbad residents 18 years of age or older. A background check will be given to those chosen for the training.

Willing to volunteer in your area of expertise? We would like to engage your talents on a project-by-project basis. Plan to come to a one-hour volunteer orientation where you hear about the City's mission and take care of necessary paperwork. Tell us about your skill set sand we will add you as a member of SVAT. We will send you an email with the upcoming orientation times within three days.

To assist the fire prevention staff with the following: Fire and Life safety inspections Aid with fire prevention public education All other duties as needed
