Ombudsman Services of Northern California
There is a need for volunteer Ombudsman to make regular visits to skilled nursing facilities, board and care homes and assisted living facilities in Placer County to monitor the quality of care provided to the residents. Ombudsman Services of Northern California provides the necessary 36 hour training course to become a state certified Ombudsman.

Mission Statement

The Ombudsman program is a program mandated by the state and federal government to receive, investigate and resolve complaints on behalf of residents in skilled nursing facilities and residential care facilities for the elderly. The program emphasizes dignity and self-determination in its efforts to improve the quality of institutional life. Serving the counties of Placer, Sacramento, Nevada, Solano, Sutter, Sierra, Yolo and Yuba.
