On Call Receptionist and Office Assistant

Join us in warmly greeting all visitors and callers, and helping us keep our daily office operations well-organized and efficient!

We are looking for a volunteer who is 21 years of age or older to serve as our on call Receptionist and Office Assistant. You’ll be the first point of contact for many people coming into the building, and you will answer and field telephone calls. We’ll also need your help with daily office activities that will include use of the copy machine or filing.

You will be the first to welcome visitors and callers, so having a friendly, positive attitude is key.  A command of the English language is essential. In addition, ability to speak Spanish would be very helpful but not required to fill the position.

Office hours are Monday-Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm.

Christmas Red Kettle Campaign

Bell Ringers Wanted

Individuals, families, Kiwanis, Rotarians, Lions and other community groups are needed to bell ring during our Christmas season. A traveling trophy will be rewarded for the group that raises the most money. Several kettle locations. Free advertisement at kettle location with your organization's logo for any group who bell rings for one complete day. hours are 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. Food Pantry

Food Pantry Assistant

Did you know a $33 donation can feed a family of four for an entire week? Friends of The Salvation Army often donate basic needs food items to help feed the hungry in their community.

We need your help to assist in our food pantry by selecting food items from our menu and packing items in bags or boxes for our clients and community members in need. Additionally, you will help us to restock our shelves as needed. Additionally, assist when neended with supervising lobby, and informing clients of other programs and services that could benefit them.

Girl Guard Chaplain (Corps Ministry Position Description)

CORPS MINISTRY POSITION DESCRIPTION
THE SALVATION ARMY
Position:
Girl Guard Chaplain
Ministry Description:
The Girl Guard Chaplain is chiefly responsible for promoting
the spiritual welfare of the girls. The spiritual emphasis should not be
a separate part of the program, instead should be integrated into all
aspects of Girl Guards. She will encourage each girl to attend Corps
meetings regularly and be prepared to lead girls in accepting Jesus
Christ as their personal Savior and friend. She is responsible for a
weekly devotional time during the regular troop meeting and will help
in the arrangements of the troops’ participation in Divine Services.

Talents/Abilities:
camping, nature, domestic and scouting skills, crafts,
patience, knowledge of the Bible, relating spiritual truths
