Volunteers are needed in 4 hour shifts to cook, prep, and get ready all of the wonderful food that will be served on Christmas Day. Recovery Team

Spend most of the Christmas Day with your family and then bring them down to the Christmas Family Feast to help us break it down. This great team or group opporutnity would be cleaning off tables, putting supplies in their places, and generally bringing the room back to it's previous apprearance. Also, help get the food ready to for pick up for the homeless shelters in the area and clean the kitchen.

Responsibilities: Maintain the re-set of tables for fast turnover of guests and monitor garbage for disposal. Responsibilities: Supervising the volunteers and the Coat Check process to ensure the safe return of all coats. The Coat Check Team Lead will perform the following duties: -Set up the system for coat checks with cards (12/23) -Make sure the volunteers assigned to you understand their duties -Make sure volunteers are not getting their own coats -Communicate with Lead staff for any situations -Treat everyone with respect -Wish everyone a Merry Christmas!! Team lead - Dessert and Beverage

The Dessert & Beverage team lead will perform the following duties: -Make sure volunteers assigned to you understand their job. Assign certain rows to volunteers to be responsible for -We are going to use pitchers from the kitchen to put on the tables for regular and decaf coffee. Please assign volunteers to do that -We have bottles of flavored water or put pitchers of water from the kitchen on the tables. Have volunteers keep them filled -Make sure no children are around hot liquid -Monitor the dessert and beverage stations to ensure they have the proper supply and keep kitchen informed of the need -Have someone in charge of whipped topping for the desserts -Direct volunteers to the tables that need desserts and beverages -Communicate to the reset team when guests leave -Treat everyone with respect and Wish them all Merry Christmas!

Help make the experience for volunteers a positive one by being an important part of the effort for The Christmas volunteers by directing volunteer Hosts. The host will inform the volunteers on the procedures of their jobs. You will also check in your volunteer team. You will train your volunteers and be there to answer questions. Feed the Kids 2012

This is a great team building activity. Make and assemble lunches that are then distributed later via the Salvation Army's mobile feeding units to children of greatest need in the greater Milwaukee area. The volunteer team will be responsible for cleaning and recovering the workroom at end of the shift for the following day's activities. Must be able to communicate orally, understand and follow directions and be able to accomplish given tasks. Needs to work effectively in a team unit. Must maintain proper hygiene in keeping with guidelines of a food environment. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Groups of teens or children require one adult per every four children. Time & Location: Mondays - Fridays, 9:00- 11:30am at 5880 N. 60th Street, Milwaukee

State Fair 2012

Provide a service to fair goers by handing out cups of fresh ice water courtesy of The Salvation Army at our outside tented booth. This is a fun opportunity and fair goers are very greatful for the service. You should be a people person and make sure to dress for the weather. You will be sent a ticket for adminsion but parking is on your own. You would be to pouring glasses of ice water, keeping the water containers full while using good hygiene practices. This is a family friendly event.
