This group of volunteers will check the coats and make sure that they are safe and secure. This team of volunteers will also give out the t-shirts to registered volunteers.

This is the day that we get everything ready for the Family Feast Day. They tables will need to be set up, serving stations, coat check, gift corner, and everything made ready for Christmas morning.

Donated food items will be delivered to the Midwest Airlines Center between the hours of 8am and 3pm. Unloading of food items and final inventory taken of all donations delivere

Make the guest feel special on Christmas Day by giving them personal service. This team of volunteers will volunteer with desserts and serve beverages that will be served at the tables. The dessert area is a great place for children to volunteer with their parents.

Assist with setup for the Christmas Family Feast day by ensuring the front gift area, volunteer area, kitchen area, ballroom, and coat area are completely set up. Volunteers should be able to lift tables, help distribute merchandise as needed.

Will serve food from the serving line on to the plates. Must be able to work from 10:00 AM until 2:30 PM or when line closes.

Spread the Christmas Spirit by being part of the distribution of give -a -ways as guest are finished with their meal. Direction of the procedure will be given by Team Leads and key Salvation Army Staff.

Spend most of the Christmas Day with your family and then bring them down to the Christmas Family Feast to help us break it down. This great team or group opporutnity would be cleaning off tables, putting supplies in their places, and generally bringing the room back to it's previous apprearance. Also, help get the food ready to for pick up for the homeless shelters in the area and clean the kitchen.

Responsibilities: Maintain the re-set of tables for fast turnover of guests and monitor garbage for disposal. Duties to Perform: •Take direction from the Team Lead volunteer in green t-shirt •Monitor the re-set of tables process for a quick turn around time •Know where all supplies are located for table re-set •Monitor the need for garbage removal and know where it is to be taken to •Communicate with Team Lead staff of any problematic situations •Greet guests and other volunteers with Merry Christmas •Know where all restrooms are located •Treat everyone with respect

No prior choral experience or training is necessary. 

Responsibilities: Identify guests that needed to be seated and direct them to open seating. Identify areas for re-set team. Duties to Perform: •Take directions from Key Lead Staff •Responsible for one section of the three section ballroom •Identify open seats for new guests and direct them to seating •Alert wait staff team to new guests arrival for immediate serving by holding “Service Needed Here” sign •Alert re-set team for reset of tables by holding “ReSet Table Here” sign •Greet guests with a Merry Christmas greeting •Treat all people with respect •Know location of restrooms •Understand volunteer break procedures

Responsibilities: Supervising the volunteers and the Coat Check process to ensure the safe return of all coats. The Coat Check Team Lead will perform the following duties: -Set up the system for coat checks with cards (12/23) -Make sure the volunteers assigned to you understand their duties -Make sure volunteers are not getting their own coats -Communicate with Lead staff for any situations -Treat everyone with respect -Wish everyone a Merry Christmas!! You will be responsible to attend training and to sign in and out of volunteer log.

The Dessert & Beverage team lead will perform the following duties: -Make sure volunteers assigned to you understand their job. Assign certain rows to volunteers to be responsible for -We are going to use pitchers from the kitchen to put on the tables for regular and decaf coffee. Please assign volunteers to do that -We have bottles of flavored water or put pitchers of water from the kitchen on the tables. Have volunteers keep them filled -Make sure no children are around hot liquid -Monitor the dessert and beverage stations to ensure they have the proper supply and keep kitchen informed of the need -Have someone in charge of whipped topping for the desserts -Direct volunteers to the tables that need desserts and beverages -Communicate to the reset team when guests leave -Treat everyone with respect and Wish them all Merry Christmas!

Responsibilities: To Train and supervise volunteer food servers as they arrive and monitor the process by communicating with lead kitchen volunteers Duties: -Will train and monitor the serving process -Communicate with the kitchen -Make sure the line is running smoothly -Make sure that the first shift leaves on time so the new shift can begin -Train the new shift before they take over. Go in the back room to get them -Will treat all people at the event with respect

Responsibilities include supervising and train new volunteers on the gift giving procedure. Refer to lead staff for problematic situations. The Gift Corner Team Lead will perform the following duties: -Follow the guidelines as given to you by the key staff -Make sure volunteer assigned to you understand their job -Monitor the gift give away process to ensure they are given out fairly -Restore gifts as they become empty -Treat everyone with respect -Wish everyone a merry Christmas!!! You are responsible to attend training and to sign in and out of the volunteer log

Coordinate with the head Chef and supervise all volunteers in kitchen area. All Leaders must have previous experience leading/organizing kitchen areas at the Christmas Family Feast. Some leaders will work directly in kitchen while others will supervise volunteer registration of kitchen help.

Responsibilities: Supervise volunteers that are assigned to re-set and g-patrol to ensure a timely reset of tables for fast turn around for guests. Responsibilities:Manage and direct the spotters. The spotters have a flag that they hold up at the table that needs service.

Help make the experience for volunteers a positive one by being an important part of the effort for The Christmas volunteers by directing volunteer Hosts. The host will inform the volunteers on the procedures of their jobs. You will also check in your volunteer team. You will train your volunteers and be there to answer questions. Team Leads will need to arrive before the regular volunteers to receie training.

Resposibilities: To train and supervise the volunteer wait staff at the beginning and during their shifts Duties to Perform: •Greet and sign-in all team volunteers on registration list •Understand the correct response for unregistered volunteers •Brief all volunteers assigned to your team on responsibilities •Train, supervise and monitor shifts of wait staff in procedures •Supervise wait staff in bringing food trays to tables and communicating with Floor Supervisor as to placement •Monitor food line to ensure it is running smoothly at all times without interruptions •Understand all take out and gift giving procedures •Understand and communicate volunteer break procedures •Locate and communicate with wait staff locations of restrooms and emergency exits

Responsibilities: Welcome volunteers upon their arrival and direct to registration table and coat check room. Duties to Perform: •Take directions from Volunteer Administrator for procedures •Position self in back hallway or front hallway as directed by Volunteer Administrator •Welcome volunteers with a Merry Christmas greeting •Direct them to the coat check room and then to the registration table •Treat all people with respect •Know where restrooms are located •Understand volunteer break procedures

Responsibilities: Wait staff volunteers will proceed through the serving line and deliver food to the seated guests in the order that is directed by the Team Lead. Duties to Perform: •Take directions from the Team Lead volunteer in green t-shirts •Proceed through food serving line and get food trays for serving •Deliver trays of food to the seated guests as directed •Greet guests with a Merry Christmas greeting •Treat all people with respect •Know where restrooms are located •Understand volunteer break procedures

The Driver position should be able to drive several times a year during a special activity.  The volunteer would need to pass our drivers background check and our regular background check.  Experience driving different vehicles is required.  A CDL license is a plus. This will include driving our mobile canteen to special events.

This is a great team building activity. Make and assemble lunches that are then distributed later via the Salvation Army's mobile feeding units to children of greatest need in the greater Milwaukee area. The volunteer team will be responsible for cleaning and recovering the workroom at end of the shift for the following day's activities. Must be able to communicate orally, understand and follow directions and be able to accomplish given tasks. Needs to work effectively in a team unit. Must maintain proper hygiene in keeping with guidelines of a food environment. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Groups of teens or children require one adult per every four children. Time & Location: Mondays - Fridays, 9:00- 11:30am at 5880 N. 60th Street, Milwaukee

A fun day of wrapping Christmas presents for children of incarcerated parents from the State of Wisconsin. This is a great way to start out the holiday with the spirit of giving back.

Help Program Staff prepare wrapping paper and other items for the big wrapping day.  Exact schedules to be determined.  Location:  The Salvation Army Division HQ, 11315 W. Watertown Plank Rd., Wauwatosa WI  53226

Worship is held every Sunday from 1pm - 2:15 at the Latino Corps.  Volunteers will be scheduled based on their availability.  This is a GREAT opportunity for a developing piano student, regardless of age!

Provide a service to fair goers by handing out cups of fresh ice water courtesy of The Salvation Army at our outside tented booth. This is a fun opportunity and fair goers are very greatful for the service. You should be a people person and make sure to dress for the weather. You will be sent a ticket for adminsion but parking is on your own. You would be to pouring glasses of ice water, keeping the water containers full while using good hygiene practices. This is a family friendly event.

Coordinate with the program coordinator and supervise all volunteers in water area. All Team Leaders should have previous experience with our State Fair water patrol and be able to supervise small groups.

Help make Christmas Merry for over 20,000 children this year by assisting with our toy distribution. Our shoppers assist parents/guardians with choosing toys for their children and escorting them through the Toy Shop shopping floor. Must NOT be a recipient of the Toy Shop. No Children under the age of 18 allowed.

Need to hug a few teddy bears? Volunteers are needed to sort teddy bears and other toys to be given to children in need before Christmas. Sort donated toys by age and gender appropriateness. Must be able to follow directions, assess toy age range, be able to stand on concrete floors in a warehouse atmosphere, and some lifting and bending. Must NOT be a recipient of Toys for Tots. No volunteers under the age of 18 allowed.

Also supervise table area as to neatness, offer suggestions to parents as to choices of toys available. Toy shop recipients are not allowed to volunteer for this program. Does involve standing and working on a warehouse floor. No volunteers under the age of 18 allowed.
