The Salvation Army's Angel Tree Program is a very large and significant part of our annual Red Kettle Campaign. It is a thriving program where we work alongside individuals, churches, schools and corporations to provide toys
to children in the community to open on Christmas Day. The Angel Tree Program preparations and distribution typically runs from the Friday before Thanksgiving, until Christmas Eve.
As a part of the Angel Tree Program, we need to arrange special toy shops where we organize and wrap the donated toys, as well as work closely with the community.
We also will need help handing out Food Boxes to local families so they have a meal to prepare together Christmas day!
As a Distribution Team Member, you will need:
Excellent interpersonal skills- especially with vulnerable populations
Culture awareness and sensitivity
Ability and comfort with working among diverse populations
Cheerful attitude in the face of difficult life situations
Bilingual preferred, but not required
Alcohol, drugs and smoking are not permitted during volunteer hours.
Clothing must be respectful as you will be representing The Salvation Army. Pants and shirts must cover the waistband. Tank tops, undershirts, halter tops, crop tops, spaghetti straps and strapless
