Every year during the summer, The Salvation Army raises funds on Chicagoland's busy street corners. The two-day event is called "Donut Day," in remembrance of World War I, when The Salvation Army distributed hearty donuts and
coffee to the exhausted soldiers in the trenches of the battlefields. Funds raised during "Donut Day" support The Salvation Army's many social service programs.
We're looking for positive, upbeat, and engaging people who understand the ministry of The Salvation Army sufficiently to answer articulately the questions of prospective donors. You must be honest and able to work well with
others. You must be able to stand for hours at a time.
Volunteers are needed May 30th through June 7th!

The Waukegan Salvation Army has started a paper pantry for Lake County area residents. The paper pantry is our chance to distribute basic need items (i.e. soap, toilet paper, kitchen items and more) to low income famlies that
live your community.
We are looking for a couple people who are willing to commit either once every month or every other month with the paper pantry set-up. The set up consists of filling and organizing 125 bags with household goods.
Volunteers will be needed once a month the FIRST Friday of the month at 9am until 10/10:30am.
