We are looking for an experienced teacher or tutor to volunteer as our After School Program Teacher. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with up to 15 children. Responsibilities will include assisting children
with their homework and other subject areas throughout the school year.
The after school program will run from Monday - Thursday 2:30P.M. - 5:30 P.M.
18 years or older
Prior experience or certification in teaching preferred
Must have a passion for helping
Must be able to work well with others
Must be able to pass a background check
Due to the population, Volunteers need to be willing to undergo a background check and initial screening process. Once they have passed, they will need to complete our Safe from Harm online training within 90 days of starting.
Alcohol, drugs and smoking are not permitted at any Salvation Army Facilities or volunteer site.
Clothing must be respectful as you will be representing The Salvation Army.
