The Salvation Army - Hammond-Munster

Food Pantry Greeter

The Salvation Army's Food Pantries feed hungry people all year long.

Join us in welcoming clients and directing them to the registration table, where you will check the forms that they bring. You'll also help carry food baskets to clients with limited mobility. Candidates must enjoy relating to people from diverse backgrounds. We also need your good communication skills, your strong desire to serve and help others, and your ready smile! Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Candidates must be 21 years of age or older, must be able to lift 30 pounds or more, and will be required to clear a criminal background check. Successful candidates will be required to take our Safe From Harm training.

If you are qualified and would like more information, please call Lt. Betsy Clark at 219-838-0380.

Thank you again for your interest in volunteering with The Salvation Army!
