Bread Distribution

Activity Start Date End Date Status
Bread Day Driver

Do you like to drive?  Are you able to comfortably lift 50+ lbs? Would you be able to commit to volunteering on Tuesday and Friday mornings from 7:30am-9:00am?

If so then please continue reading about our Bread/Dairy & Produce Distributions and how you can help us help the community.

When Bread Day first started it was just that..Bread.  Families from the Tri-City area and beyond (if they could make it out here) were able to come through the doors knowing that they would be leaving with plenty of bread and pastries to help feed their families for the week.  Since then, the distribution has become so much more.  We have now been able to partner with Jewel Osco Foods and receive good fruits and vegetables as well as dairy products to share with the families that come into the building on Tuesday and Friday mornings.

You as a Bread Day Driver would be helping us as well as the community by picking up these wonderful donations from Jewel Osco every Tuesday and Friday morning and bringing them back to our gymnasium for sorting and distributing.

If this opportunity seems like it would fit your schedule and interests in serving then please give our volunteer coordinator a call at (630)377-2769
