Las Vegas PRIDE

It may be hard to believe, but the 7th Annual HRC Las Vegas Gala is upon us.  The event is Saturday, May 19th and will be held at Encore at Wynn.  It is the 'BIG EVENT" of the year for the Las Vegas Human Rights Campaign, and in volunteering as well.

Though challenging, now is an exciting time in our history.  We are in the middle of the Gay Civil Rights Movement.  Make no mistake, 2012 is a pivotal year for equality and in continuing the pursuit of equality for each and every American.  Our movement has gained momentum, recognition and results over the past few years.  We must continue this fight, every volunteer makes a difference!!  You make a difference! 

For the past 5 years, Las Vegas Pride has managed the Registration Desk for the Gala. We want to continue this tradition with HRC and we ask for your help.

The NAGVA XXX Championships Host Committee needs your help to unload/load and setup/breakdown volleyball courts at the Las Vegas Convention Center!  Duties include lifting and moving sections of court floor, filling and moving water barrels, etc.  Volunteers should be able to lift at least 40lbs.

Assist with court-side communication as a Court Runner at the NAGVA XXX Championships!  Interested volunteers will be asked to walk communications to/from the volleyball court and the command post.  Volunteers filling this position should be able to stand comfortably and walk approximately 100 yards.  No lifting, squatting, kneeling or crawling required.
