General/Open Activity - Wacoal Fit for the Cure

Activity Start Date End Date Status
Carson's (Edens Plaza in Wilmette)

As one of Komen's national sponsors, Wacoal invites women around the country to "Step into the Ring" and join the fight against breast cancer.  They regularly host "Fit for the Cure" events at department stores where they encourage shoppers to let a Wacoal fit specialist help them determine their true bra size.  For every woman who participates, Wacoal donates $2 to Susan G. Komen!  If the shopper purchases the bra, Wacoal will donate an additional $2 to Komen!  To date Wacoal has donated more than $3.6 million to Susan G. Komen!

How can volunteers help?
Volunteers who sign up to help will go around the stores passing out flyers to shoppers encouraging them to get a bra fitting. The more fittings, the more money we raise, so outreach is very important!  Volunteers may also help distribute materials about Susan G. Komen and breast health facts.  (Komen Chicago Pink Ambassadors are encouraged to sign-up for this activity so they can share breast self awareness information.) If the volunteer helps out for 4 or more hours we will gratis the volunteer a Wacoal or b.tempt'd bra which will be sent to their home address directly from Wacoal.
