Education Photo Station

Sharing breast health education information is one of our main goals of at the race!  We want everyone to leave empowered with the knowledge to take action in their breast health!  Education Photo Station volunteers will help guide participants to our very own "photo booth".  Volunteers should be energetic, friendly and enjoy talking to people! Education Sign Rovers

Sharing breast health education information is one of our main goals of at the race!  We want everyone to leave empowered with the knowledge to take action in their breast health!  Education Sign Rovers will carry sandwich board type signs and walk around the race site sharing breast health information.  This is a fun way to get people to remember things like "Early Detection is Key".  Volunteers should be energetic, friendly and enjoy talking to people!  Pink Ambassadors are highly encouraged to sign-up. Volunteers will need to go through a training on breast health fast facts. (5:45am-11am)

Be a Race Course "I AM THE CURE" Cheerleader... or what we like to call CUREleaders!  Get race participants to take action today by cheering them on on the course!  You will also receive a list of cheers you can choose from!  Or make up your own!  Pink and green pom poms are also included!  Some volunteers will be driven out to their position on the course and others will be given directions to walk. IATC Rovers

Get race participants to take action today!  As an I AM THE CURE Rover, you will engage Race participants and spectators by asking them simple breast self awareness and health questions.  Rovers will have bags of give-aways to distribute to participants throughout the race course.  Rovers will work individually or in pairs during the Race.  Rovers must complete a training prior to volunteering. Training will either be in-person or via video.  (Approx 30 minutes for training). (5:45am-11am)

Help capture the memories as our volunteer photographer.  We need photography enthusiasts to be in all areas of the race capturing the unique and heartfelt moments that are so much a part of our race!  Photographers must use their own camera and release all rights and images to Komen Chicago following the Race. Assist in the Registration tent and process guests who have already registered.  This may include distributing bibs, answering guest questions, directing guests to t-shirt tents, etc.  Volunteers must have good customer service and trouble shooting skills, be highly organized, reliable and able to work in a very fast paced environment.  Returning volunteers preferred or volunteers with registration type experience.  Volunteers may need to conduct a phone screening with Volunteer Programs Manager.  (5:20am-11am)

Registration Greeter

Assist at our Registration tent.  This includes standing at the front of our registration desks, helping guests in line and around the area, making sure guests are in the correct lines and have their registration forms completely filled out, and general troubleshooting and support.  We expect any where from hundreds to thousands of race-day registrants, so volunteers must be energetic and have good customer service skills.  Previous experience working in the registration area, desired.  Volunteers must complete a 30min-1 hour training prior to the race, which will take place about 2 weeks before.  (5:15am-11am)

*Volunteers are not automatically assigned to this assignment.  The Volunteer Programs Manager will conduct phone screenings of all volunteers.  Volunteers will be notified when they are selected.
