The two-day event known as "Donut Day" is right around the corner. "Donut Day" is in remembrance of World War I, when The Salvation Army distributed hearty donuts and coffee to the exhausted soldiers in the trenches of the battlefields.
Funds raised during "Donut Day" support The Salvation Army's many social service programs.
