Disaster Relief Phonebank Aide

During times of disaster, local TV stations have been generous in allowing The Salvation Army to have a phone bank during the newscast to raise money for disaster relief. The Salvation Army needs volunteers to be on call to help answer phones, fill out donation forms and be on camera should the need arise. Phone banks are usually announced for the same day or next day. On-call phone bank volunteers would receive an email and/or phone call with the times and location of the event. You may choose to accept or decline the invitation. Volunteers will be trained and provided with a shirt to wear on camera. 5-10 volunteers are needed for each shift.

Emergency Disaster Services Volunteer
We invite you to be a part of The Salvation Army's Emergency Disaster Response Team. There are many ways you can become involved in serving the community through emergency disaster services. No effective disaster relief operation can operate without the efforts of many volunteers with a diverse range of experience and training. Some people are content to hand out a cup of cold water to a thirsty stranger. Other people seek training at the highest level possible to serve in specialized areas of service. All EDS volunteers must complete Introduction to Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services and Introduction to Food Services training. Additional training opportunities available.

Approved drivers are needed to operate The Salvation Army's canteens during responses to local emergencies and disasters. The Food Pantry is currently open on Wednesdays from 9:30-12 and 1:00-5:30.  Varying shifts are available for this position, which reports to the Food Pantry Supervisor.  This position assists with packing food bags and distributing food bags to clients.

Practicum Student Assistant to Housing Manager

Assist the Housing Program Manager with client support as well as general office duties that pertain directly to the clients.
