The purpose of the Finance committee is to plan and carry out funding requirements necessary for the operation of the agency. All members of the committee should be familiar with the long range plan of the agency and its mission. The Finance committee works closely with the Fund Developement committee in setting financial goals in keeping with the needs of the agency. The committee also works closely with the Executive committee in the preparation of the budget submissions to funding bodies. Budgets and ventures should be planned with that in mind and reflect a public image appropriate to Girls Incorporated of Durham. Meetings are held monthly or as necessary to complete its objectives.
